MUSEUM FUR GESTALTUNG ZURICH

The Zurich Museum of Design (Museum für Gestaltung Zürich) is combined with the Zurich University of the Arts-Design Department (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) and they are in the same modernist building on the Ausstellungsstrasse (exhibition street). It was designed by the partnership of Adolf Steger and Karl Egender in 1930-33 and is a national landmark of modern architecture in Switzerland.

You can surmise from the big steel windows and broad staircase that it was influenced by Gropius’ design for the Dessau Bauhaus only four years before.
